Rheumatologist said HSD can’t be diagnosed

My PT suggested I see a provider to check for hEDS or HSD because I was showing POTS symptoms and he noticed I had hypermobility. I made the mistake of going to my rheumatologist who does not have explicit experience with hEDS/HSD and she was very dismissive.

She acknowledged my hypermobility but said I did not meet the criteria for hEDS, which is fine. I inquired about HSD because I still have a lot of issues like subluxations, joint pain, GI issues, chronic venous insufficiency, POTS, TMJ, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain. She told me it’s not possible to diagnose HSD.

That’s not true, right? She also kept asking me, “Why does it matter if you get a diagnosis? Just treat your symptoms.” I’m so frustrated. I live in a state with abysmal healthcare and there are no specialists in my area. If anyone knows a good specialist in the Southwest US please let me know!
