I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine at least 3.5 years and haven’t noticed any major side effects; I get nauseous now and then but nothing that has severely impacted my life. All of a sudden I find I’m getting these awful IBS episodes if I don’t eat enough when I take my dose. Like not to be gross but running to the bathroom, rest of day ruined and unable to leave the house bad. I usually take it at lunch but I have to time it weird sometimes bc of my antacid.

Has anyone experienced this after being relatively side effect free at first? I didn’t even suspect it was my meds at first since this is so new.

I find it definitely helps me otherwise so this is frustrating.
