Boss sent wife to spy on me at my new job

Hi. Super weird situation and I would just call my union, but they're closed for the weekend. Basically, I was offered a new position just a few days into June, so I handed in my resignation at the beginning of the month at my old job (meaning I work through the end of July). While the new job was willing to work with me around my pre-existing schedule for June, they wanted me to start up at 30h/w for July, since many of our workers are on holiday. I tried everything to make it work. I asked my new manager if there's any way we can move the schedule, we can't. I asked all my colleagues at my old job if they can take some of my shifts, they couldn't. I asked my old boss if she can put ferie on some of my days this month to help make it work, she told me it's not her problem. I basically am trapped with a double-booked schedule, and I realized the only way to make it work is to call out from my old job on the days when I have to work the new one. Not ideal, but it's the only option left.

Anyways I called out today so that I could make it to work for my new job, and a few hours into my shift, I looked up and saw my boss's wife standing in the queue (it's a café). She saw me and walked out without ordering anything, only to stand a few meters outside of the café, in clear view, and make a phone call. She stood there for about ten minutes on the phone, glancing at me occasionally, before leaving.

I get paid leave from my old job. I know, that makes it really fucking stupid to call out and then go work at a different job, you can save yourself time and not bother calling me dumb in the comments, I just had no choice. I've tried everything to make it work and this is genuinely the only solution. I figured since it's a retail job that I'm leaving that maybe my boss would understand the unspoken understanding that nobody tries/shows up to every shift in their last month at a retail job. Clearly that was optimistic.

It's planned in the schedule that I'll see my boss at work tomorrow. Normally I'd have called HK right away, but with it being a weekend they're closed and I'm kind of at a loss for what to do. Obviously I won't bring it up if she doesn't, but what do I say if she does? I'm considering saying a coworker had a family emergency, so I covered for them for a couple hours despite being sick, but I don't know if that's a good excuse or not.

Thanks in advance for any advice :,)

Boss holding contract over my head

Hi. Not sure if this is a good place to ask for help, but I'm not sure where else to. It's basically as the title says. I resigned from my job early June with a one month notice (so I work the rest of July, too), and someone somewhere fucked up the paperwork and put in that my last day was the day I handed in my resignation. So, when my paycheck came in, it was missing 3 weeks of work. I told my boss via sms I wouldn't be able to come in to work until it's resolved, as I have to commute to work and the pay they've given me isn't sufficient enough to cover the commute costs. She didn't reply to my message but instead called me and we got into an argument, where it devolved into her shouting at me that I've signed a contract and therefor have no choice but to come in to work, regardless of any fuck ups on their side. Eventually she ended up hanging up on me only to call again later telling me my pay would be coming on time, so I should come in the next day regardless. I still haven't gotten the pay as of 8 am on the first of July.

In my contract, it states that:

I suppose my question is that, is it not technically them that has violated the contract? They did pay part of my salary out on the correct day, but not the entirety. And I did end up coming to work, even though it wasn't affordable to do so. Is what my boss is saying correct, that I have no choice but to come in, even in a situation where they've violated the contract first? Do I have a leg to stand on here? Sorry for the wordy or maybe confusing post.

TL;DR

My boss is insisting I commute to work despite them not having paid me my correct salary, making it financially impossible to do so. She quoted my contract, but I've noticed a clause in it stating that I am supposed to be paid my full salary on the last day of the month, every month. Who is legally in the clear?

Edit: åårgh undskyld, jeg troede at subredditen var på engelsk fordi jeg så den sidste opslag er blev skrevet på engelsk. Jeg taler også dansk selvfølgelig lol

Finding new work

I'm genuinely at a loss and not sure where to ask for advice on this. To keep a long story short, I hate my job. It's demanding, draining, there's no sense of boundaries and the work culture is awful. The problem is, I'm poor and live in Esbjerg, where it seems like there's genuinely never any work opportunities. For reference, all of my experience is in retail, so I've only tried finding other work in retail (although I hate it). I've checked Jobindex, Indeed, Jooble, even a local facebook group for work opportunities in Esbjerg. I've applied to genuinely every opportunity and just get rejections. I've got five years of retail experience (2.5 in the Danish market) and speak close to fluent Danish. I've considered moving to other cities where there are better opportunities, but I can't afford the indflytningspris on most apartments, and most hiring managers see my address and instantly reject my applications. Not to mention the city with the most opportunity, Copenhagen, is so utterly unaffordable rent wise it nearly makes me cry.

Is there anyone that has any advice? How do you up and move to a new city in Denmark? And how do you find new work? Are there some social systems that help with it that I don't know of? I'm just really desperate to get out of this miserable job and I run into dead ends in every direction :,). Thanks in advance for any advice ❤️
