How do you handle criticism?

If you've been on YouTube for more than a year, you've probably heard things like: “Why are you doing this?”, “Can't you see it's not working?”, “Just give up,” and so on. How do you deal with the negativity?

I’ve tried out a lot of hobbies over the years, and I’ve tried to monetize a few of them. Of course, I can see for myself that some of my ideas are too simple and probably won’t work. But I just give them a shot, because you never know if they’ll work or not. I’ve often come across products in the media that are objectively simple. That’s why I think it’s better to try and fail than to regret a missed opportunity. Plus, I’ll gain experience along the way.

So, what do you think about that? (I mean, I really need some help, because I've already lost track of what I'm even doing, haha.)

Does my accent ruin everything?

Hi, guys. This is my yt channel: oddly.siberian

My question is about my accent. I decided not to use AI for the voiceover because I think everyone’s tired of it, and my voice will sound more natural. But in any case, I need to be at least understandable. So how does it sound? Is my speech clear? I try to write the script in advance and read it, it also helps me learn new words. It’s just hard for me to judge for myself how it sounds. Maybe I should choose a video niche with less talks. But I love to talk, and I have things to say, so I'd rather not go this way.

What thoughts keep you from becoming completely demotivated when you see a channel with a large number of videos but consistently low view counts?

I feel frustrated when I see yet another channel that looks like this. I realize that consistency and not giving up, just posting anything, no matter what - isn’t a perfect rule either. And I don’t think there’s anything bad about these channels. I really appreciate the creators’ dedication. It’s just that I started very recently and don’t have several years of experience behind me, so I’m not really sure how long I’ll be able to keep going on this path of making videos. What helps you not to give up?

Which video was the most challenging?

Which video was the hardest for you to make? What was the topic? How much time did you spend on it?

I'm going through this myself right now, which is why I decided to ask others about their experiences.

I suppose I should share my own experience as well. I decided to create a tutorial on how to install one program on a server. The thing is, I don’t have much experience, but I just wanted to share my insights with beginners. It seemed to me that those who have been using Linux for a long time might not fully understand which steps are obvious and which ones need to be explained in more detail, so I felt that my perspective might also be helpful.

I've probably spent three weeks on this already. And I'm starting to hate this video, though I've definitely learned a lot during that time. But I'm just forcing myself to finish it.

So, what about you?
