Week 2 complete
Another week completed. So far I'm down an average of 6.1lbs over the two weeks. Delighted with the progress so far. Usually by this stage in a diet I've lost about half a pound (if anything) because I couldn't stick to my calories and would think "well, what's the point". Now, I'm more motivated than ever!
I've had mainly positives and very few negatives over the past few weeks.
Some of the positives:
- I feel "normal" for the first time in years. Food noise is almost entirely eliminated. I don't think about food until I'm hungry, and the urgency I had around food is gone.
- I don't feel hungry or have cravings, but most of the time I can finish meals when I do eat and feel fully satisfied. Granted, I am definitely eating smaller portions.
- I have had one day where I had noticeable food noise and hunger. However, nothing like before and I still stayed in a calorie deficit and felt satisfied after eating.
- My face is less puffy, I feel like my inflammation levels have dropped.
- Metabolic improvements. I've noticed improvements in PMOS symptoms I've had for years. Maybe it's placebo effect but time will tell.
- My jeans are feeling looser! A combination of not feeling so bloated/inflamed and the few lbs gone I think.
Some of the negatives:
- Occasional heartburn/acid reflux
- Very occasional, mild nausea (1-3 times in 2 weeks)
In case anyone is reading this and thinking of starting the pills, I find it helps to see some positive experiences as there is a lot of negativity on social media etc. This has been my experience so far and hope it continues!
