Week 2 complete

Another week completed. So far I'm down an average of 6.1lbs over the two weeks. Delighted with the progress so far. Usually by this stage in a diet I've lost about half a pound (if anything) because I couldn't stick to my calories and would think "well, what's the point". Now, I'm more motivated than ever!

I've had mainly positives and very few negatives over the past few weeks.

Some of the positives:

  • I feel "normal" for the first time in years. Food noise is almost entirely eliminated. I don't think about food until I'm hungry, and the urgency I had around food is gone.
  • I don't feel hungry or have cravings, but most of the time I can finish meals when I do eat and feel fully satisfied. Granted, I am definitely eating smaller portions.
  • I have had one day where I had noticeable food noise and hunger. However, nothing like before and I still stayed in a calorie deficit and felt satisfied after eating.
  • My face is less puffy, I feel like my inflammation levels have dropped.
  • Metabolic improvements. I've noticed improvements in PMOS symptoms I've had for years. Maybe it's placebo effect but time will tell.
  • My jeans are feeling looser! A combination of not feeling so bloated/inflamed and the few lbs gone I think.

Some of the negatives:

  • Occasional heartburn/acid reflux
  • Very occasional, mild nausea (1-3 times in 2 weeks)

In case anyone is reading this and thinking of starting the pills, I find it helps to see some positive experiences as there is a lot of negativity on social media etc. This has been my experience so far and hope it continues!

Week 1 completed!

Week one is complete and I have lost… 🥁🥁 5.3lbs or 2.4kg!

I am delighted with that! The week has been easy enough. I had social days over the weekend where I ate more than planned but still way less than I would have without the pills.

I’ve had minimal side effects. I noticed acid reflux if I went too long without eating but that’s something I occasionally got before the pills too. The occasional headache but nothing a paracetamol didn’t solve.

Overall I’m delighted. 5lbs down might be beginners luck but if I lose half of that per week going forward I’d be happy!

Day 1 complete!

Day 1 complete (almost) and I cannot believe the change in my approach to food from one dose. As someone who could eat 2200-2500+ calories daily with no issues, I am struggling to finish meals and hit 1500. I can take food or leave it. Evenings are normally when I'd binge and while I have some tea and chocolate worked into my calories for today, I don't even know that I want them. Today was the first day I can remember that didn't revolve around eating and planning how to not eat too much and ultimately fail. In fact, I was working to make sure I ate enough, which I have never had an issue with before!!

I have little to no side effects yet. I feel sliiightly nauseous now but it is also that time of the month which could be throwing me off a little. Nothing major at all.

I was so nervous about side effects and it's early days but if every day was like today I'd be very happy with that!
