> Patrol Highlight: Juvenile Suspects Detained Following Armed Robbery Investigation. > > On April 21, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Fremont Police Department officers were dispatched to a late-reported armed robbery that occurred near the Sullivan Underpass area. The juvenile victim reported being robbed of a backpack by two suspects armed with handguns. The victim provided officers with a description of the suspect vehicle, including a license plate. > > Fremont Police Department’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) located the suspect vehicle utilizing automated license plate reader technology in the southern area of Fremont, near the Tom Blalock corridor. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle shortly thereafter. > > Due to the nature of the reported crime and the potential involvement of firearms, officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop. The vehicle complied and did not attempt to flee. Officers safely detained multiple occupants, including two juveniles. During the detention, officers discovered an infant inside the vehicle belonging to the adult driver. The driver was determined not to be involved in the robbery, was released, and resumed care of the child. > > The victim was transported to the scene and conducted a field show-up, positively identifying one of the detained juveniles as one of the robbery suspects. > > Officers later identified a second juvenile suspect associated with the incident.
