The Fremont / Parish / Peralta lot is finally gonna get some houses built

FREMONT — An affordable housing development that could produce hundreds of apartments in Fremont is moving forward after a real estate alliance bought the land needed for the project.

USA Properties Fund and Riverside Charitable Corp., through an affiliate, paid $11.5 million to buy most of the parcels that would be required, documents filed on May 15 with the Alameda County Recorder’s Office show.

The juvenile victim reported being robbed of a backpack by two suspects armed with handguns. The victim provided officers with a description of the suspect vehicle, including a license plate. > > Fremont Police Department’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) located the suspect vehicle utilizing automated license plate reader technology in the southern area of Fremont, near the Tom Blalock corridor. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle shortly thereafter. > > Due to the nature of the reported crime and the potential involvement of firearms, officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop. The vehicle complied and did not attempt to flee. Officers safely detained multiple occupants, including two juveniles. During the detention, officers discovered an infant inside the vehicle belonging to the adult driver.
