Is the army reserves worth a crack?

I’m 18 and currently working as a first year electrical apprentice. ive always wanted to join the defence force (posted here a couple times about becoming a pilot) but life took a couple turns and that whole thing faded away. but now that idea is brought back to me due to my life being really boring and without much purpose (i just work). so for those who done it, did jt help bring more to your life?

advice needed on apprentice pay

I'm currently working as a first year apprentice (haven't been signed up officially as an apprentice) but I haven't been paid properly. I've been with my company a little over a month now but my boss has only paid me for my first four days off the the books (transferred cash to my account). Last week he mentioned that he'd sort me out and get me on the books and fix up my outstanding pay but it hasn't happened yet. I currently don't have enough money for parking to get to site next week and so i'm eating into my savings for now which isn't ideal. Would it be worth looking for a new employer? and what can i do for now?

How do i stop being retarded

So i'm a first year and i know im not expected to be a know-it-all yet but i feel like im really slow. i basically need to get shown something twice or even three times for me to understand and again me having to do it twice or three times for me to start pumping it out. and the foreman i work under isnt a very big fan of getting asked something more than once, especially if he's already shown me how to do it so it doesnt create a very positive dynamic between us. is there any advice you guys have to learning quicker?

Should I make the jump?

I’m currently a first year at a small commercial solar company and the work is pretty good. I’ve got a really good team and boss and they’re teaching me a lot. However I’ve got the opportunity to jump to a different company which provides actual commercial electric work however they do a 6 day work week and sometimes mandatory overtime which goes into 12 hour days. They pay slightly more and I’ll be earning more with them however just unsure of the work culture or if it’s worth the sacrifice of my social life

Am I starting okay?

I'm 18 with zero living expenses (food, house, everything covered). I'm currently putting 500 a week in DHHF as i'm not too sure with anything else and i'd like to retire as early as possible. im earning around 650 a week as a first year apprentice and fine with not having as much spending money. is there anything i should start exploring or stick with this forever?

I've managed to get a trial at a solar company as it's been my only opportunity to start an apprenticeship. Any advice on how to be a useful apprentice? Any particular PPE I need?
