Diagnosed with bilateral sacroiliitis. I'm scared and hopeless.

I really fucked myself up getting out of bed two days ago and went to a walk in clinic. They gave me some muscle relaxers and told me to down NSAIDs but that didn't help. I went to the hospital yesterday and got diagnosed with bilateral sacroiliitis. I need to follow up with my PCP to figure out what type of inflammatory disease I have. I also went to PT yesterday and will start going regularly.

Right now, I'm on prednisone and hydrocodone-acetaminophen. I'm still in pain. Standing hurts. Sitting down hurts. Laying down hurts less, but still hurts. I'm scared for my life. I'm scared that pain is going to be the only thing I'll know for the rest of my existence. I don't know what to do. A part of me is genuinely considering suicide. I've heard nothing but horror stories from people who've suffered this. Not even opioids are making me feel back to even 50%, which crushes me. I don't know what to do. I don't even know if I should try. I don't even know what I did wrong. Is there any hope of getting better? Should I just throw in the towel?

ELI5: What are the most basic components of the universe?

Like, what is the universe *made* of? Is it all just matter? I keep hearing talk of dark matter and dark energy and the Higgs boson and it's got me a little confused.

Diab- = devil, -olatry = worship of. What does worship mean to you?

Hello! I made a post previously discussing who The Devil was to the fine folks here, and thought it may be a worthwhile discussion to talk about what the second half of "Diabolatry" means to those who practice it. What does worship mean to you? To go a step further, what does a worshipful practice look like? What does a worshipful relationship with the Devil look like?

For me, "worship" has always been a funny word. I think that's largely thanks to growing up in a Christian culture. Hearing "worship" always made me think of a distinctly Christian sort of approach to religion and spirituality that I've always bristled up at. Up until now, I haven't used "worship" to define my relationship with the divine. But, this subreddit has gotten me to think about what "worship" even means. Old reliable Merriam-Webster defines worship as such:

1: to honor or show reverence for as a divine being or supernatural power

2: to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

"Respect," "honor," "devotion," and "reverence" are all certainly terms I'd use to describe my own feelings with the divine. So, perhaps I have been a bit foolish in pushing back against the term!

Secondarily, for those who want to go a step further, what does a worshipful practice look like? Is it one of simple reverence and respect? Is it one of rituals and mystical experiences? Additionally, what is a worshipful relationship with the Devil? Is it that of a master and a follower? A teacher and a student? Is it friendship, or maybe something closer to partners in crime? I'd love your thoughts and experiences!

Looking for American Traditional tattoo artist recommendations

Hello! I'm going to be taking a trip up to the Twin Cities in a few months, and want to get a tattoo done to celebrate the trip. I'd love some recommendations for tattoo artists who are skilled in American Traditional.

Who is The Devil, to you?

Hello! I hope this post is allowed, even if I myself am not a Diabolist. I am glad to see a space dedicated to Diabolatry, and wanted to ask a classic question to Diabolatry experts around here.

Who is The Devil, to you? Satan? Lucifer? Both? Neither? Perhaps someone else, like Samael or Helel or Mastema? The Devil, as a name or title, often seems to be viewed differently from person to person, and I think the insights and discussion that comes from those different viewpoints is very interesting.

Take-off was horrible. I'm not sure I can do a second flight.

I just got off a flight and, although the cruise was fine, the take-off and landing were an absolute nightmare. One second it felt like I was going to pop out of the bottom of my seat, and the next it felt like we were free falling. Landing was just as bad. We kept slowing down so much it felt like we were going to plummet from the sky. Ugh, I've got one more flight to get to my destination, and two connecting flights to get back home. I'm so nervous. I feel sick, and I want to cry. Okay, maybe I'm crying a little bit. Fuck, what a nightmare. Can anyone tell me why this was so horrible? Was I in danger?

How effective is a bilateral salpingectomy? Worried it may not be as effective as I'd hoped.

When I underwent my bilateral salpingectomy, I had been assured that I would never be able to get pregnant without. But, this article I read has got me a little spooked. It noted that the presence of a stump may lead to pregnancy and, checking the operation notes of my surgery, the surgeon himself notes that a 1cm stump was left at the uterine cornu.

I really hope I'm misunderstanding something. Never before have I hoped strangers on the internet would thoroughly and completely prove me to be a dummy lol. I feel nauseous and hopeless at the thought that even now, I might still get pregnant.
