Just finished this run, did it with no items in battle, no leveling past gym leader’s ace. Went into E4 all level 53. Most challenging fights were Brawly, Wattson, and Glacia
PkHex’d in Surskit as my starter, Roselia when I got to Route 117, and Luvdisc after getting Surf

I always see people posting SOTCs in which they have multiple boxes of watches, and on top of that with multiple watches of the same category and/or almost look the exact same. Like seriously why do you need 5 black dial metal bracelet divers and 6 different Casios or G-Shocks? And then these people will post on Reddit asking people what they should buy next. I know that this whole hobby is really just consumerism, but at that point I feel like it's unhealthy.
I don't get how one can really appreciate and frequently wear all their watches if they have more than 8-12. At some point I had 12 and decided to downsize and follow a strict one in one out rule for buying new watches. Now I have 7 (plus an old Longines inherited watch from my grandfather in need of major servicing that mostly just sits in the box). Since downsizing, my collection feels perfectly balanced, and I feel like I love and appreciate all my watches now. It's never a question which to wear for a certain occasion like a formal event or going to the beach, and so I am building real memories with them all and will continue to do so.
