Tilly won't be staying with us forever but she will in our souls.

Tilly was found by a friend of a friend, lying motionless in a ditch - wet and cold on her own. They managed to get her warm and she survived the night. They later found the mother had died a few meters away. She was handed over to our local sanctuary and then kept at one of the volunteers' houses. We took her on at three weeks and she is the most adoring mess of a cat. She still has issues and we are going to the vet in an hour to sort them out. She is tiny but the most loving cat I have had - she climbs into your hand and cuddles right into you. She has a forever home to go to so we will have to give her up in a few weeks - that ain't going to be easy!

Amish Paste?

Well, obviously not, but I did grow them from a packet of Amaish Paste seeds. Every plant seems to be producing fruit that looks different. Any ideas what they might be - or just a random cross?

We got Tilly a fren!

We are fostering Tilly until she can go to her forever home and they wanted her to grow up with another cat. So we picked up Yuki yesterday - he is a foundling too but a few weeks older. Looks like they are getting on ok!

Tiny Tilly - A Handful of Smol who knows how to pose!

She had a rough old start in life but she is coming on really quickly - added 40 grams in less than three days. She is only with us for a few weeks and has a forever home but it is going to be hard to give her up..

Tilly is to be incarcerated for 5 weeks for noise violations!

Just picked up tiny Tilly from the rescue centre, and we will foster her for 5 weeks before she goes to her forever home. I have never heard such a loud noise coming from such a smol!

Can anyone recommend a book on Portuguese history

I don't know so much about my adopted country's history and yesterday it occurred to me that I didn't really know, off the top of my head, about the origins and significance of Portugal Day. So I am looking to rectify that - I guess I am looking for something like a social and cultural history. Ideally nothing too academic or overly long! TIA.

Coming up on the one year foundya day for Rudi!

Rudi was found in a bag at the back of a bin in 40oC heat with 5 siblings. They had been dumped there almost as soon as they were born. We took them on as the shelter didn't have the resources to feed them every two hours. His siblings were too ill and didn't make it. Rudi was touch and go for a while - He had diarrhea and needed antibiotics, then he got constipated, had an eye infection. Then he managed to fall and damage his knee! After several weeks of night feeds and vet visits, he started to gain weight. He came through it all and is now a big healthy boy - as you can see.
