[CLT-LAX-SYD] great day

[CLT-LAX-SYD] great day

Ok, so just as a bit of an offset to the typical posts describing experiences with AA prompting passionate outcries to "never fly AA again" --- I just thought I'd post a trip report from today reminding us all that thousands of flights every day go off without a hitch. Out of CLT this afternoon, my original 4:50 departure was showing slightly delayed. I asked when dropping my bags if they might put me on the next earlier flight boarding in about 45 minutes. Was confirmed on that flight. Exit row. Ended up 2nd on the upgrade list. Would have gotten the upgrade if not for an inop seat. No big deal. Left early from CLT. Arrived early in LAX for my connection tonight for SYD for which my SWU cleared 24 hours ahead, so I was even able to do an advance order for my Beef Wellington. I'm currently sitting in the Flagship Lounge watching prep of the Flagship Livery 777-300ER taking off for LHR later. Just a reminder for every post of some 'horrific" experience, there's a far greater number of flights no one ever posts about because everything was fine.. Blessings, all.

[LAX - SYD] as a data point

I don’t pay for upgrades as a rule and am already waitlisted to use SWU’s for my flight back and forth to Sydney, but thought this may be interesting for those tracking price fluctuations for upgrade offers. This works out to a little over $27/hour for a 15 hour flight to move from Y to PE.

Picked up a Citi brochure on my flight from LHR yesterday.

I had put up another post showing the brochure for an in-flight Citi card offer of 80k bonus miles. Even though they said this could be shared, I have been informed that the FA could get in trouble if reported so I have deleted. If you’d like it, feel free to DM me. I trust that would be acceptable.

[CLT-LHR] first trading card

Started my collection. One of the FA’s got one for me from one of the captains. I am told they hated that they had to start carrying these 😆
