Any pain management help?

Sometimes I feel like those 90s bead toys where you press the button on the bottom of the base and the figurine flops over. My joints struggle to hold my limbs in place without emense pain. Currently the issues are in my shoulders. There's K Tape but I'm allergic to adhesive.

I get my fiance to massage the muscles near the joints but it doesn't get to the root of the pain. It feels like my shoulders are inches away from dislocation and there's no position I can put my arms in to relieve any of the pain. I'm on a couple types of pain meds but it doesn't really touch the bulk of the pain either.

Does anybody have any tips on getting the pain to ebb? Just to make it bearable to function? When its my knees I just use my walker and take lots of rest, but it's harder with my shoulders because even laying down, they still ache.

Maintenance not being done

Hey. I'm not sure where to look for help, but I figured this place would get me on the right track. We are currently in the middle of our second lease at this place on hazel park (near ferndale/detroit) and our rent was hiked up, so we have been putting in maintenance requests that we didn't out in our first year.

One of the requests is fixing a window. We put in a request for this window a few times since resigning our lease. We finally were able to get someone out to fix it, but the problem was deeper than he thought and he didnt do anything.

We were told the maintenance man would talk to the company, who would then reach out to the landlord who hired them to maintain his properties (for real too lazy to even manage his own rental properties) to see what the land lord wants to have done.

The window issue is one won't open and the other side of the double window won't close. We've had to duct tape the one window shut during winter, and with the other window not being able to open, the room is just terrible any time of the year.

From what the maintenance man said, it's gonna have to be completely replaced. I know the landlord (like all landlords) is cheap as fxck and won't replace the window. But it's getting up to the 90°s this week and only going to get hotter. We don't have a/c, we need access to the window to get air flow at the very least and I'm being brick walled by both the company and the landlord.

So I'm coming here to see what I can do and who I could talk to about the legality of pressuring the company to fix the window on grounds of health and safety issues, or how I can pay for the window to be replaced out of pocket and get reimbursed for it through not paying that amount from our rents.

Please help! It's so hot in there, there's no way to get air flow because of the house layout. I just need to know what I can do to get this fixed. How can I legally withhold rent or get the reimbursement??

I've been struggling with EDS since I was about 18 or 19 years old. I'm almost 29 now and my primary is trying to get me recommended for handicapped parking due to needing a walker/cane to get around, as well as find me PT and other support I'd need.

I'm also on 50mg of amitriptyline which has dropped my baseline pain of 8/9 to a 4/5, but it's not something meant specifically for my kind of daily pain.

I knew it would be hard finding a specialist who could diagnose me with EDS from the stories I've heard about chronic illnesses and getting diagnosed. I had my first appointment scheduled 6 months out and a day before I was supposed to go in they called to say they didn't diagnose or treat EDS, they could only medicate for joint pain.

I've called 4 other doctors in my area since then and have gotten a mix of "I've never heard of EDS" or "We don't diagnose". I'm in so much pain, and my mobility aids are all being paid for out of pocket because without a diagnosis I can't get my insurance to cover anything. I'm tired, I just want to get diagnosed and get on medication that will actually hit the pain, and be able to get on a program or treatment plan that will keep my body from falling apart further than it already is.

Does anybody know of a doctor who can diagnose me in the Detroit area? I'm willing to go anywhere in michigan. I'd even be open to going out of state. Please help!
