3000h TIL you can cure leprosy

Became an adventurer as an Umayyad figuring it'll be easier to become Caliph and Malik of Arabia. .

Got leprosy and wandered into Ravenna not remembering it was a church holding. 30% chance to remove the leprosy and the event actually fired. He's not even disfigured?!

I'm pretty sure you're stuck with it if you're a ruler right?

Suggestion for managing sub-vassals

So this has bothered me since 1.00 and I've always assumed it would be fixed.

As the top liege you should have complete authority over sub-vassals or there should be an interaction with their liege.

For example, a count in my realm tries to murder my heir and I'm emperor. It seems ridiculous to me I can't retract their title without retracting him twice from a king then a duke vassal.

I shouldn't have to piss off my vassal I'm on good terms with,.there should be an interaction to temporarily grant me authority over that land to retract it.

If it's about authority why can I ask my sub-vassals to convert religion?

Making Socotra a Kingdom

So I kinda want to do a run where I only hold Socotra but it's a bit dry if I just play as a Duke.

What's my best strategy in Vanilla to make it a de jure 1 county kingdom.

I'm figuring custom kingdom making sure duchy 2 and 3 are far apart to negate the risk of getting the kingdom title usurped when I lose them on purpose?

Would this work? Will they eventually de jure drift out of my custom kingdom?

3000 hours - still getting crumped by raiders

Obviously my army can obliterate any raiding army but I miss the little pop-up sometimes.

I've decided to RP as Ostrogoths on the edge of the steppe and my capital keeps getting raided without me noticing.

Is there a way to set the game to pause or give me a pop-uo when they start raiding?

At this point I'm contemplating having my MAA perma-raised on my capital.
