I’ve seen similar posts before that may be this same noise, but often there’s no follow up or answer on the post so here I am asking.
The car has a low pitched hum. Almost like blowing across a large bottle or jug. It only occurs between 40-45mph and 60-65 mph when the accelerator is depressed moderately. If I am coasting at those speeds, no sound. If I floor it, no sound.
If it was wind noise I would think I’d still hear it when coasting at 65 not just when depressing the throttle pedal (same with tire noise). If it was a failing wheel bearing I would think I would hear it at all speeds not just two specific ranges.
The sound seems to be coming from the rear. It’s not affected by turning in any way. Is it possible the motor itself is making the noise? The inverter? Is this a normal noise for these cars?

Hesitant to take to dealer because $220 diag and the last (different) sound I brought it in for they “diagnosed” and replaced a part that made absolutely no difference. Not sure they’re well versed with EV repairs.
Any advice appreciated!
Edit: The car is 2022 Pro S RWD with 55k miles
Edit 2: bit the bullet and took it in for diagnostic. Shop foreman test drove it and says doesn’t think it’s a normal sound. Will know more soon…
