drives have been a horrific experience that made me drop from diamond to plat to gold, and i've been absolutely flabbergasted by the level of play in those ranks. i reached gold 3 because i kept losing, lost three in a row to an insane ashe, and i just got steamrolled by a cat-bastion straight from owcs.

these players are not gold and plat players, at least not in the way i remembered those ranks to be back then. these are mechanically diamond, if not master-level players. i've seen hitscans in gold be better than those i was against in diamond. i kept losing again and again because the mechanically better players always happened to be in the other team, which is all you need to win at those ranks.

it's my first time trying drives again after three seasons, and never again because i'll have to spend the entire next season climb up the two full ranks i lost, i'll have to somehow handle hardstuck players who have had the time to develop diamond-level mechanics without any of the diamond-level teamplay to stop them from running rounds.

ILLUSION, CR's streamer and content creator, released a video celebrating CR's win at Champions Clash and titled it ""The greatest narrative of all time"... Everyone agrees the best story in Overwatch esports has just been written" and I thought that it's a really over the top claim even to sell a video. There is no question OWL had better narratives with Shock, SHD or Eternal, and I'm not sure this is even the best narrative of the OWCS era.
