to proceed or not proceed with coworker
So I have this coworker who I have realized I’m kind of head over heels crushing on. We have similar interests and outlooks on life, can chat about anything or work quietly next to each other. I suggested we get together sometime to do one of our shared hobbies and she agreed and was really excited about it. When I initially suggested this I was trying to be friendly (she seemed cool and is new to the city) but I never reached out to make a plan and haven’t brought it up since.
This is partly because I realized I have a crush on her and because I’m her supervisor. I don’t know exactly how old she is but I’m pretty sure she’s my age or older. But… I’m still her supervisor, and I’m worried about any kind of power dynamics that might be at play if I were to pursue her. I have no idea if she thinks of me like that, but I’m pretty sure she’s likes me as a person at least lol.
Anyway I’m not sure what to do about it or if I should even do anything. Am I better off hoping one of us leaves our job (service industry so it could happen) or is there any chance this could work out ok??
