I have had DQV since spring 2025 and have gotten two cortisone shots since. Right now my pain is low/moderate but when I bump my thumb it can flare up. Overall though- the pain is very manageable. My surgeon suggested surgery and no more cortisone shots. I’m worried that the pain might get worse after surgery… should I opt out? The pain is manageable currently and I can still do most physical activities, just planking hurts. I don’t wanna risk dealing with more pain just to try to get rid of small pain.
