My solution (i think)
Male 32.
I’ve had a form of type 1 rosacea since I was 18. I can distinctly remember in my last year of high school looking in the mirror and see my face flush all red. Since then it’s been a constant (internal battle). Back then I live like any other 18 year old: bad food and drink and a lot of partying and drinking. That did not stop until I was about 25 and even after that I still did not live as healthy as I should have. But ever since that moment skincare was my ‘solution’, nothing really helped. Only in the last 5 years I’ve taken my health more serious. I haven’t had any refined sugar for the past 3 years, only alcohol once a week and more veggies. That helped a lot for the ‘serious’ flares, it became more stable but at times my skin would be ‘perfect’, these would come at random moments, even at times when I would be on a drinking binge with friends for example and eating bad food.
During all those years I’ve tried numerous skincare brands and treatments like lasers and microneedling. I am certain everything helped a bit but nothing made it stable to the point I was happy. I hated that it could be great for 4 days, feel good and then for no apparent reason become unpredictable again.
To finish up: i was in italy with friends 3 weeks ago; sun, alcohol and nothing healthy to eat, this time my skin was at it’s worst. Constant redness and a lot of dry patches.
I asked claude about it when I got back and it recommended me ‘Avene Tolerance Cream’ as he said my skin barrier has been broken due to the lifestyle, sun and sea,it was the millionth cream I would have bought.
Three days later I went from the worst it’s been to extremely calm. As you might recognise I was waiting for it to become bad again but that ‘hasn’t’ happened, not to say I don’t have any redness or some flushing but my skin is superr calm, and that itself is a great relaxing feeling.
Thought it might help somebody, after years of reading here and not contributing anything ;)
