Cant get Galaxy A54 into Recovery Mode to factory reset
I completely forgot the PIN code to my Galaxy A54 (running the latest One UI / Android firmware), and the phone is currently on a 2-hour lockout timer.
Since I can't unlock it, I'm trying to get into Recovery Mode to perform a factory reset, but the standard button combination isn't working.
Here is what I'm doing:
- I have the phone connected to my PC via a USB cable.
- I hold Power + Volume Down until the screen goes black.
- The moment it goes black, I switch from Volume Down to Volume Up while keeping the Power button pressed.
Instead of booting into Recovery, the phone just triggers a normal restart, shows the boot logo, and boots right back into the locked screen with the timer. I also tried SmartThings Find / Smart Switch, but the website cannot locate or detect the phone for some reason.
UPD: the site is actually communicating with the phone because I can successfully trigger the "Play Sound" feature, but the "Erase Data" option on the website is failing after i enter my samsung account password
