In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m offering my book When Getting Out of Bed Is the Hardest Part as a free Kindle download. No membership required.

This book was written during one of the hardest periods of my life and was later recognized as an impactful book in psychology, grief, and bereavement.

If you don’t need it right now, maybe someone you know will someday. 💛

First ever screenplay. I’ll admit I have no idea what I’m doing. I wrote this screenplay to fill in the gaps of the true crime memoir that I finished…. There was something therapeutic about creating an ending I wished had happened in real life. What were your inspirations for writing a screenplay?

I have no rhyme or reason for picking this competition. It just happened to be the one that showed up in my search engine once I finish my screenplay and I began looking.

13 Days of Silence is a raw, emotionally honest true crime memoir about the thirteen days between a mother learning her son was missing and discovering he had been murdered. More than a crime story, it explores grief, addiction, survival, systemic failure, and the painful reality that convictions and justice are not always the same thing. Written in a stripped-down, deeply personal voice, it’s a story about what remains after the fire burns out.
