MPA Thesis Topic - Social Media Use in Flood Crisis Response

I’m currently working on my MPA thesis and I’m considering studying the utilization of social media during the flood crisis response.

The idea is to examine how LGUs use platforms like Facebook during flooding for things like disaster warnings, evacuation information, relief updates, coordination, and public communication.

Do you think this would be a good and relevant topic for an MPA thesis? Or would it be too broad/common?

I’d also appreciate suggestions on how I could narrow the topic and make it more focused on public administration, local governance, or disaster response.

What do you guys think?

How do you live with envy without letting it destroy your self-esteem?

It’s tiring, and honestly, it hurts. I don’t want to be envious of other people, but watching them live the life I want—especially seeing them reach goals that I’m working so hard toward every single day—sometimes feels like it’s killing me inside.

I’ve been muting a lot of people lately, including friends, because I realized that constantly seeing other people’s lives was affecting me more than I wanted to admit.

I’ve also come to accept that, in some ways, the problem is within me. I know that everyone has a different path, and we all move through different phases of life. I genuinely understand that. But understanding it intellectually doesn’t always make the feelings disappear.

I don’t want to resent people for being happy or successful. I don’t want someone else’s achievements to make me feel like I’m a failure. And I don’t want to keep comparing my life to everyone else’s.

So, how do you live with envy as a normal human emotion without letting it destroy your self-esteem—or your relationship with yourself?

How do you acknowledge the feeling without feeding it?
