So, um, random question... Are hoomans allowed to bapbap? I was playing with my long fur hooman earlier, and she started moving her paws in circles saying "put em up, put em up!" Then the sphinx hooman said something that sounded like "marquis of Queensberry rules" and they both started laughing... What are they talking about? Do I need to do something here?

So, normally my humans are very coordinated with the morning kibble. Either my sphinx human will give me a scoop, or my long fur human will give me a scoop.
This morning, the long fur human gave me a scoop... Then, later on, the sphinx human gave me a scoop.
They're putting on fancy outside furs, long fur human is putting marks on her face... I don't like this. They haven't taken out my backpack, and they haven't taken out their travel boxes, but... Something still sounds weird about this. What say you, oh wise felines?

My humans disappeared for most of the big light today, and when they came home, my sphinx human was walking weird. Not only that, he needed this strange metal stick to walk!
Long fur human said he kinda went to the pokey place, but didn't, but kinda did? Or something like that (Morgan Freeman voice: "she told Penny he went to an outpatient ambulatory surgical center"), and they poked and poked and poked at his knee - after stealing some of his leg fur. He's still walking weird, and they said he will for the next whole bunch of forevers. Other than taking care of him, anything else I can do?

Hi Everyone –
I know it’s been a long time – around 60 Big Darks or so – since I last checked in… and a LOT has happened.
First off, and I guess this isn’t that much of a big deal, but the humans said I’m not Eloise anymore – I’m Penelope, Penny for short. (The Sphinx Human has taken to calling me Penny Pie.)
So the Long Fur Human (LFH) and the Sphinx Human (SH) took me from where I was into this kind of… carry case? I heard the humans call it a backpack? And we went into what I think all of you call a vroom box. I was in the vroom box for a while, then we went into another building. They gave me kibble, and treats, and all sorts of toys – cool, right? But… a couple of forevers later, we got back into the vroom box – and we went back to where I was! I was so confused – did I do something wrong? They gave me something, and the next thing I know, I’m waking up – and tasting colors. I don’t know how to explain it otherwise. (When the SH came in the red vroom box, he said something about no more trouble puffs…?) It took me a little while to get back to feeling normal, but… I got there.
We went to what they said was the pokey place – isn’t the pokey place supposed to be bad? They didn’t do anything mean to me – the most mean thing they did was move my lips around to look at my toofers and the man there held a little light box up to one of my eyes. He said something about a Florida spot, whatever that is.
My humans are nice – they treat me well, even if the LFH is a little… intense sometimes. I don’t bite-bite her, like I don’t chomp on her, but she still takes her hand away sometimes – but she’s good. Like… I’ll jump up on the couch next to her and sit down and purr – she seems to really like it when I do that. She likes to pick me up and carry me around a lot, and I’m… not sure how I feel about that quite yet, you know? So I get a little fussy and jump out of her hands. They joke about her name being Elmyra – I’m not sure what that’s about, but… whatever.
I like playing on the perches they have for me – there’s one in front of the big window, and there’s one in front of the window in the Big Sleep Square Room, and in the big light, they both show live Birdie TV. One time, when I was playing with the ball on the perch in the BSSR, I fell off and hurt my shoulder! I came out to see my humans and they saw I wasn’t putting any weight on one paw – they took me during the big dark to a pokey place, and the pokey lady told them I was probably ok – I could’ve told them that, if they just listened to me! A couple of days later, we went to a different pokey place – the SH said it was the “normal” pokey place – and the pokey man there said I was ok, but to put a little extra juice in my food from a bottle he gave them.
They’ve been talking about how they have to get up in the big dark in a couple of forevers – they need to introduce me to someone named gabby pentin? Why do I have to meet her in the middle of the night? Apparently Gabby Pentin has something to do with my Heart Mama – I don’t know who my heart mama is, but they all say she’s not a big deal. There was something in there about an ekekekekekekekho – but I don’t know what they’re talking about. I don’t get it - humans are confusing, friends.
(we took her back to the shelter we adopted her from – they did the spay and the initial vaccines for free. We took her to the vet, so they could meet her and “open a file”, and I mentioned the “thing in her eye” – the vet took a couple of pictures and asked a colleague, and he said it’s most likely what’s called a Florida spot – basically an aberration in her eye, but if nothing changes about it, it’s not a big deal.
My wife and I are in love with Penny – and if anyone here watched Tiny Toon Adventures, we joke that my wife is Elmyra. If you didn’t watch TTA, think the little girl who wants to love and hug and squeeze etc ALL the animals. Sometimes when she's petting and playing with Penny, Penny goes to bite her - but they're not painful, like she'll grab wife's hand and bite it. From what I've read, if it's a bad bite, you'll know - and if you're not sure, it's a play bite. Thoughts?
We know of the rule of 3 – and Penny is… getting more and more comfortable. In the past week or two, she jumped up on the couch and hung out with us – she’s not curling up on our laps, but 2 weeks ago, she wasn’t even on the couch with us. we hope she’ll sleep on the bed with us, but… patience, patience, patience.
One night we noticed she wasn’t putting any weight on one paw – we got her to an emergency vet and they gave her a clean bill of health. As in “something clearly happened, but it doesn’t seem to be anything major, nothing’s torn, etc.” We went to the regular vet and he said he felt a little inflammation in her shoulder, so he gave us an anti-inflammatory to put on her food for a few days.
And when we adopted her? We knew she had a heart murmur. It’s a 2/6, the emergency vet mentioned it to us, and we told her we already knew. When we went to our regular vet, we mentioned it, and the vet told us he heard it, but if we hadn’t mentioned it, he’s not sure if he would’ve mentioned it to us – it’s apparently that minor. We’re taking her on Wednesday morning for an ECG – gabapentin at 0530 for an 0730 appointment.
It's… a change. I had Charlie for… 14ish years. That cat literally saved my life more than once – IYKYK. And… I know Penny isn’t Charlie. I’m doing my best to let Penny be Penny, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t times I don’t look at her and imagine what he’d do in the same situation, or think about how much more active she is than he was, or… etc. I’ll never forget him – and I don’t want to. But at the same time… I know I’m fluent in Charlie, I know Mrs Belsonc is fluent in Charlie, and we’re both working on learning how to speak Penny, you know?)
