Is my transmission going out? Can i save it?
Hello peeps. I bought this car about 2-3 months ago. Long story short got scammed by the guy. Spent lots of money to get the ownership and fix the parts ( check my previous post) to get it road worthy.
Now when i was driving it back home after i bought the car it was shuddering at high speeds so i thought it just might be the axle or tires etc. But after fixing everything the shudder still exists. And for past week or two it struggles to change gear from stop sign or green light on full throttle until i let go off gas then it changes to second gear. And when hit the gas at high speed i smell really foul scent ( might be coolant not sure ) and it shudders bad. Yesterday on my way to dinner with family, this car was tail gaiting me ( i was already going 120kmph/ 75mph ) so i hit the gas to move over the right lane and for good 5-10 seconds i felt i lost power in acceleration then i slowed down till i reached my destination. I just kept it at 100kmph/60mph on my way back home.
Can someone please tell me if i need a new transmission or can i save this one by changing few parts.
