It’s a massive level-up for the culture.
Bena González just dropped a project called Rich Immigrant, and it’s the first time a Dancehall artist has released a full narrative visual EP, with every track connected through its own cinematic video.
This isn’t just music. It’s a 16-minute visual experience based on her real life.
She moved from Jamaica to London alone, lost her life savings to theft, and spent years battling the UK immigration system as an “alien.”
The story moves from the cold streets of London to a resurrection filmed in Puglia, Italy.
It’s a raw, chronological portrayal of the immigrant experience that flips the “victim” narrative into a kingdom mindset.

Back in May 2016, 18-year-old Bena González (Abenah González, aka Abenah Adelaide and Bad Bena) was featured in Spell Magazine’s London street style, wearing Zara and River Island.
Fast forward to now (April 2026), she turns 28 on April 30, 2026, confirming a 1998 birth year.
Since then, she’s built a name as a Jamaican designer, model, and artist, and was also part of the 2016 Miss Universe Jamaica competition at just 18.
Cool to see how far she’s come from that early street style moment 👀
