I'm looking for some advice from people within the field. How can I improve my resume to look more appealing?

Question:

  1. Is my project appealing enough? or should I looking for some additional project add to it.

  2. the current intern that I have is an NDA how would I add it into my resume?

  3. I have a position as Operation manager for a family restaurant also should i add it in here? or it completely unrelated.

  4. from your professional opinion what you think about my resume? be harsh I don't mind about it.

Finally I'm looking for position in either backend or ML related. However I'm fast learner and open to all position

I'm looking for reliable repairman for a walk-in freezer

Hello everyone. I'm try to looking for some reliable company that do walk-in freezer for a small freezer.

I had another repairman came before this the person replace my condenser but in result the problem isn't fix it kinna get worst. Before this fix the freezer run smooth even with a wood interior for 1.2HP machine. the person replace us with 1.5HP and it barely make it to -4.

the person blame it because of the wood interior but if it was the store wouldn't be running for past 40-50 years from the previous owner. He come many time and each time the person found an issue. So long story short I'm not sure if the person could do this properly. So I want to look for some company with a bit of reputation and know how to handle older freezer.

I wonder how decent is my profile and perhaps any idea of which area I could improve my chance for PR

TLDR: First-time poster on PGWP (since July 2025), came to Canada 2017, high school in Toronto/Ottawa, Bachelor in CompSci. Currently juggling a full-time job + TA work + Mitacs contract + a confusing 50% ownership situation at my family's restaurant (need help figuring out if that counts as employment or self-employment). New to PR process trying to figure out if I should wait for the new Ontario OINP/OWP stream or just go for Express Entry once July hits. Paranoid and want to improve my chances, sorry for any mistakes!

Hello! This is my first time posting here so sorry if I made any mistakes. Like the title mentions, I'm currently on PGWP and interested to hear how I can improve my chances a bit more because I'm paranoid.

A bit of history of me:

  • Came to Canada since 2017, studied high school in Toronto for 1 year (grade 9) before moving to Ottawa for grade 10, 11, 12. (Yes, each year I had to reapply for my Study Permit)
  • Went back to Toronto for post-secondary, I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science from a small university.
  • Got my PGWP in July 2025 and quickly started my full-time job, plus 2 contracts.

Education:

  • Diploma, high school (Canada)
  • Bachelor's degree, CompSci (Canada)
  • IELTS: Listening 8.0, Reading 7.5, Writing 6.5, Speaking 6.0 (she asked if I go outside and I had zero clue what to say, F)

Work Experience:

  • Tim Hortons (during study): During my university time I started out working for Tim Hortons as a part-time team member for a period of time.
  • TA (after study): Started out as a volunteer for my professor, quickly became TA for her in January 2026 for the undergrad program, then switched to Master's degree TA this recent May 2026.
  • Mitacs client contract (after study): Recently signed a contract for my tech side job, which is a 4-month program (can be further extended if they want). Rest is NDA.
  • Manager at restaurant (during/after study): I got off Tim Hortons and started working for my family restaurant that opened in 2023, as technical support/manager, part-time, with no official title at the time. Here's where I have some trouble understanding things: soon after that we switched to corporate and I signed on for 50% ownership of the brand. However, I get no profit or split from the ownership all my income is strictly from the hours I work, which is 40 hours/week (PGWP) as a full-time Operations Manager. My day-to-day is handling technical matters and inventory stocking. Any further investment into the restaurant/equipment and other decisions are completely out of my control, and I'm not even aware of them when they happen. So does this count as employment, or self-employment?

Main questions:
I heard about the new Ontario Nominee Program and the new OWP, and it's confusing me a bit. I'm new to all this PR stuff, so please excuse my ignorance do I apply for OWP once it comes out, or do I apply for Express Entry first once July hits? What is my odd chance of getting PR with this profile?

[ON] Had anyone experienced with a Financial company call city capital?

I'm looking for some financial company to apply for a loan to expand our business. Has anyone experienced a company called "city capital"? It looks sketchy to me because the website was made in 2026 and they claim to work with 10,000+ customers in there they also have work with subway and tim Hortons. I am very skeptical of it. Any particular opinion on the company would be great.
