Heavy runners (190+ lbs / 85+ kg) — anyone tried Kiprun shoes?
Hey everyone,
Kiprun (Decathlon's running brand) has been getting a lot of buzz lately Reviews are popping up everywhere, but they're almost always from runners in the 140-165 lbs range. Not super helpful when you're north of 190.
I'm currently running in Hoka Bondi 9 and I'm pretty happy with them, but I'm curious whether Kiprun could be worth a shot given the price point they're coming in at.
If you've run in any Kiprun model (Kipride Max, KD900, Kipstorm, Kipsummit Max, or older ones), I'd love to hear:
— Which model, and what kind of runs / distances?
— Does the cushioning hold up over time at our weight, or does it bottom out fast?
— Stability — decent or all over the place?
— For those who've also run in Bondi or other max-cushion shoes (Glycerin, Nimbus, etc.)
— how does it compare?
Finding reliable feedback for our build is tough, so any input
— good or bad
— is much appreciated. Thanks
