Here’s another thing I got in that haul I mentioned yesterday when I posted that Death compilation here.

Death - Fate: The Best of Death (1992, Relativity; 2023 Relapse reissue)

This is part of a very nice birthday haul that I got from a good friend last week. I finally have a chance to play these and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be posting more soon.

Darkthrone - Pre-Historic Metal (2026, Peaceville)

Darkthrone - Pre-Historic Metal (2025, Peaceville) - Happy release day for this one (though it is a day later) to all who celebrate. Between this and the great new album from @frozensoultx, it was quite a stellar release day for extreme metal fans. Anyway, this one contains in the vein of 2024's also terrific It Beckons Us All, but with less overt Celtic Frost worship and more '70s stoner/hard rock/proto-metal influence, hence the appropriateness of the title It makes me feel like I'm getting fucked up in the woods while I'm listening to it and I can't stop playing it. It was also nice to be able to pick it up on the release day, just like in the pre-internet days. Thanks, @roughtradenyc. If you like riffs, this is an absolute must. Pressing: (coke bottle green)

I got this one in the mail a few days ago from Blastbeats. What do you all think of it? Side 2 is so good.
