S4 MK3 : Suddenly no audio. Macbook is perfectly optimised for the S4 MK2, no issues till I used the S4 MK3. What can I try or have I been sold a faulty device?
I bought a second hand S4 MK3, mint condition with deck saver & UDG bag for £350, appears to be well looked after.
2nd gig & audio cut out. Completely silent, happened randomly & wasn't touching or using anything. The S4 & Macbook were acting as if nothing had changed, all lights responding as designed. But No sound. I played a song from my phone & it was ok after I re-booted.
I've spent upto a year perfecting optimisation for my Macbook setup, so I'm aware of a lot which can cause issues from anti-shock settings in terminal, brightness, to spotlight, USB Hubs, I've eliminated most I can having followed everything in this guide:
I've opened a ticket with NI but, I'm at the very start of a long process of fault finding.
If there is reference anywhere online, or anyone who's had this happen with the S4 MK3? please let me know. In the meantime I need another controller to DJ with before upcoming Weddings which I have booked.
