Anant Singh Pathania, Baldev Singh Pathania and the Harnam Singh Pathania all occupied big positions in J&K Princely State, Harnam Singh Pathania was in Forest Services, he was also sent by Sir Hari Singh to negotiate accession terms with Delhi.

Anant Singh Pathania was a highly decorated soldier (MC in WW2, MVC in 1947 1948 war). He took part in zojila operations in 1948.

One can also see Brigadier Sher Khan (sitting 1st from right) MC who was DMI in Pakistan in 1947 and helped organize the tribal attack as well.

Due to the ongoing violent disturbances of over 2 months, over 80+ people have been killed.

Recently in past 1-2 weeks, 30+ people have been killed by firing of Pak Rangers.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am yet to see Indian State taking this matter up in their parliamentary session (they should honour the 1994 parliament resolution).

Samba doing fine in AQI at this time.

Technically its Vijapur in Samba (as you can see in the image), not the whole district.

However I doubt a big variation will exist in the district.

Its from the appendix of the book "Administration of Justice in Jammu and Kashmir" by Prof Hari Om Mahajan, former Head of Jammu University’s History Department and former Dean of Jammu University’s Faculty of Social Sciences.

This book is online, its a good book. Another book of Hari Om on education level of J&K Muslims and its trajectory in Dogra Rule, titled "Muslims of Jammu & Kashmir : a study in the spread of education and consciousness, 1857-1925" is also good.
