Government Boys Higer Secondary School Gandhi Nagar was today renamed after Kuldeep Kumar Badyal Government Boys Higer Secondary School. Kuldeep Kumar Badyal, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Gandhinagar, was murdered in the school premises On Feb 2, 1999 when he refused to admit a class XII student brought by a criminal as a private student. Education Minister Sakina Itoo said CM Omar Abdullah had made an announcement earlier that it will be named after ex Principal and today that promise has been fulfilled. She said it is a proud moment for the family of the deceased principal.
