How to split doubles reps when one partner is stronger and one is a better runner?

Hi! If you've done doubles where one partner is better at strength stations and one is better at cardio/running, how did you split the stations?

I'm the weightlifter in this scenario and my partner will certainly find the runs easier than me (since we have to stick together). We're planning for her to finish each station so I get a break before each run.

I'm worried that she'll be counting on me to take more of the strength work, but that I might be too gassed from the runs to be very helpful. I'm thinking frequent switches might help me more - like 1-2 reps on burpees, or is that impractical? I'd love to hear from people who have been in this situation, how did you split it?

(Oh, and I know the ideal answer is "practice together" but we can't! We live in different cities and won't be able to meet up until race day.)
