I heard white lions colour fast but I think my toad heads were faster 🫡
Anyway cycling through 4 main pairs means every pair gets a little less attention 😅

Just prepped my new white lions and thought I'd take a family photo. Beautiful contrast :)
Also slowing down on the purchasing now I have around 15 pairs of walnuts not including 5 free pairs 🤔
I got these walnuts free with a purchase. Can anyone help me identify what type of walnuts they are? So far I haven't seen any other similar walnut photos online.
They are light, dry skinned and have yellow tips. The seller indicated there's no need to spend that much time on them although they will still patina somewhat.
Love the marble like sound 🥰
Also does anyone else have experience with hand cramps and aches from brushing and gripping walnuts too often? I can't be the only one.
I'm taking a break because for a day or two because even if I can alternate hands, one hand still needs to do either grip or brush action 🥲
I have been playing and brushing these 29mm gongzi maos for a couple weeks. What could be the reason that the tips / upper half are tinged grey instead of warm brown? Is this a walnut skin issue or lack of initial brushing issue?
The only thing I can think about is that I didn't brush after playing for about a week (they were too small and my hand cramps if I brush while waiting for new brushes to arrive). But I quickly started brushing more after observing the greying. But none of my other walnuts turned grey even if I skipped several brushings.
Could I reset the patina if I go over with a steel brush?
Today's walnuts are Grade A Jade Toads. I've had them for 3 weeks.
They're a lot rounder and smoother than regular Toad Heads and a have completely different hand feel. They're also very squat, they remind me of pumpkins rather than Toads.
I didn't like them at first but since yesterday this has been my constant and they're growing on me a little bit.
Does anyone know why it is so dark coloured? I love the look but has it been pre treated? There's no odd smell and sheen isn't oily. It's a premium priced walnut
Also any tips on brushing the 29mm walnut without my holding hand cramping and stabbing myself with bristles while brushing? Also as the walnuts already have a shiny sheen, how much ratio should I brush and play?
2nd photo: does anyone else get rained on by nano brush hair or am I brushing too hard? I do stabbing motion sometimes with the brush. Photo is of another hamatou
Also, anyone has like 8 pairs of walnuts but only seriously carry one pair around to play and brush? I usually brush at least 2 pairs but my favouritism is clear 😅
3 ridged 40mm design. Rounded and comfortable if not for the heavy weight. They're not hollow so they weigh about twice a pair of normal walnuts.
I'm surprised at how fast they're oiling up. Will take a photo in daylight soon (if I remember to)
Left: Ping Guo Yuan 39mm (the deeper grooves are uncomfortable to brush)
Right: Tian Di 35mm
