Major security issue in Airbnb building, host refusing refund [USA/guest]
Had a major security issue with multiple units robbed and strangers banging on my door in my Airbnb building on my first day of a month-long stay that I’m doing solo. Contacted Airbnb, and they said they “successfully advocated for my refund,” and told me to submit a formal request to the host. She denied the request saying the issue had been resolved, which it really hasn’t, and beyond that I simply feel beyond unsafe in the building after what happened my first day there. Where can I go from here if Airbnb is telling me I’ll get a refund, I already booked a new Airbnb upon their advice, and the host is refusing to refund me?
