Newcastle Australia (04/01/26) monster shelf cloud
idk why i never posted this but back in january we had an incredibly shelf cloud roll in over newcastle, brought 100km/h winds and small hail. main feature was definitely the structure tho.

hi everyone,
would anyone with radarscope pro tier 2 be able to tell me the availability of archived radar in australia? how far back would i be able to go? plus just overall as someone interested in doing original research into tornado events (predominantly australian ones, occasionally overseas) would radarscope pro tier 2 be worth it? it’s kinda expensive and i’m chronically unemployed.
thanks
Last year on this day, my doctor officially banned me from running for 10 weeks. After serving my 10 weeks, i needed a surgery, and was out for another 5 weeks. Then i came back, and in two weeks i injured my foot and was out for another 5 weeks. then i came back, and 2 weeks after i injured my leg, and ive been stuck with this injury since (Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome). I take 10 weeks off, go for a super easy short run, and it would immediately return after no pain or discomfort for at least the past 3-4 weeks. My mum has been refusing to take me to a sports doctor, which in fairness I'm not sure he's going to do much, but my physio has been very little help on how to actually return to running, rather giving me calf muscle strengthening exercises, which i feel only help prevent, not ideal for actually still being injured. I've tried orthotics, no orthotics, every running surface under the sun, and nothing has helped.
I have dreams of being elite. Dreams, mainly because they're fairly unattainable but yk let a man dream lol. Before I got injured I was freshly 16, biting sub 19 in the 5km after only around 3 months of training with minimal speed work, and was preparing for my first proper running season. I've had to sit on the sidelines at what feels like the prime age for getting into tip top fitness (especially for getting elite/sub-elite level), and I've watched as my friends who were minutes slower than me have now beaten my pbs, which of course i'm happy for them but it still makes me feel like im missing out on it all. ive missed 1 season already and I'm about to miss a second if this doesnt heal up asap. if the sport doctor says this injury is as bad as i suspect it to be i could be out for potentially another 6 months and i think i might genuinely lose my mind if that is the case.
has anyone else here been chronically injured at my age and went on to run sub 15 5km by 20? ik thats specific but thats goals at the end of the day.
if anyone has any stories of being injured at around my age and having a successful come back in late teens please share because i have no one around my with similar experiences (no coach and no one else in my family runs seriously)
hi mods im asking for stories i can relate to im not asking for medical advice thank you bye
thank you all
