Looking at WoodMaxx FM-62H for my LX-2610
As the title says I am looking for a flail mower and have an LX-2610. I would like hydraulic side shift, and the smaller flail mowers don't have it. The Woodmaxx FM-62H gets great reviews, but specs are 20-40HP and the LX2610 is 19HP on the PTO. I have seen a couple of reviews where people have run this setup and seem very happy. I also have a wood chipper rated 20-40HP and it runs fine. I have a brush hog for the heave stuff - this would be to mow trails and a field on a regular basis - so not a lot of heavy grass. Any thoughts/experience on this configuration?
One other question - I do run into occasional rocks and heavier sticks but am still thinking I would go with the Y blades since 99% of the time I will be mowing grass. Does this make sense or should I be looking at the hammer blades?
