Sunroof broke last fall - cover stuck in open - anything outside of tuinting I can do to block the sun?

Pretty much the title. I was driving on the Interstate last October with the roof open. Got a phone call, so I tried to close it, and boom - motor spins and glass stopped moving. Made it home and then did some finessing to get the roof to close. Repairing it is not an option due to cost, so I taped it to seal it. I have had zero leaks and replace the tape every few months. Well, now that Summer is knocking on the door and the temps are rising, I am finding it extremely uncomfortable to be in the car. The heat on a sunny day is unbearable with the full glass roof allowing all the light in. Does anyone know of a sunshade for the sunroof that would suffice? This would only be for when the car is parked. I am half-tempted to just slap some black Gorilla tape over the entire roof and wash my hands of it. I live in Ky, so it definitely would not be the worst modification I have seen.
