XPS 16 DA16260 (2026) Keyboard Malfunction
My XPS arrived yesterday and right off the bat I found an issue with the keyboard: pressing the letter F followed by T in rapid succession while holding left shift results in a capital F only.
As far as I can tell, it is only those keys, in that order (T then F works fine) and only while holding left shift (lower case, caps lock, left control, and right shift are all fine). Adding a key between (like FGT) works fine. Interestingly, holding a key down will repeat that character, then pressing a new key should interrupt the sequence - but with a left shifted F or T, the T will not interrupt a held F and vice versa.
Edit: I also found that holding left shift then a quick J-Y sequence results in only a capital J.
The issue is present in Windows 11, PopOS 24.04 (Cosmic), and Fedora 44 (Gnome), so I'm thinking firmware issue.
I discovered this support article (000435203), but I'm on BIOS 1.8.2 so that is supposed to be solved.
Can anyone else with a new XPS replicate this issue, or is it just me?
