Free Recycling Options

I'm new to Detroit and my particular municipality (Harper Woods) doesn't offer recycling services. Are there any drop off locations I can bring my recycling to? I am used to recycling tin cans, aluminum cans, glass, and cardboard. I need to find something because they only allow us to have a 35 gal can for weekly pickup and without a recycling option, I constantly have animals tearing through my overflowing can 😭

Doc just upped my Pred tablet

I am finally clearing up from a 3 month flare of Uveitis and have been tapering off 40 mg Prednisone tablets for the past month. All of my imaging and tests came back normal with a return of 20/20 vision today. I still use one drop of the pink cap daily and was initially told to start tapering that to every other day in a few weeks. Right after he told me that, another doctor came in and said he actually wanted me to go back up to 30 mg a day and to see Rheumatology before my next follow up in a month because at this point, they still don't know what caused the flare in the first place. I'm pretty sure this is a stress related flare as this all happened in the middle of selling my house and moving to a different state. I'm fine with following up with a rheumatologist to rule out anything else that can be going on but I'm having a hard time agreeing to up my dose of Prednisone so much especially after my symptoms are resolving with the taper. It's also terrible on my stomach and I was so glad to be getting off of them. Has anyone else ever heard of this happening? Would you take the pills or no?

EMD dispute

I need some insight about pulling out of purchasing a home. This is the timeline:

April 30th I went under contract to purchase the home and got an inspection done the next day. We asked for some repairs which included a water leak on the main shut-off valve and a small gas leak from one of the pipes. The seller agreed and we had a closing date of 25 May. On 20 May my lender stated we could not close on time because the seller's agent hadn't provided four documents. Later that day I was also told the title wasn't clean and it would be almost two months to clear it. At that point I was already living in a hotel because my house had sold a couple weeks prior. The seller agreed to let me move in under a rental contract while the title was being cleared with a move in date of 29 May. As a precaution, I still did the follow up inspection which was conducted on the 26th and found the gas and water leak were still not fixed. On the 28th I was told it was fixed however when I went to move in on the 29th, someone was in the house and stated they were fixing the water and gas lines still and to come back later. I wasn't able to enter the house until 9pm that night and the lines had been dissected in several spots that there hadn't been leaks and we're not done by a professional. At that point it was unsafe to be in the house and we did not move in.

During the whole deal there were a lot of times I was having to call the agents, lender, and title company on my own to get anything moving and I felt as if I wasn't being represented properly. I also feel that the seller breached the contract and that I am entitled to keeping my EMD but they are arguing that because they are willing to make the proper repairs that I would be in breach of contract if I didn't buy the house. Am I wrong??
