I know the sink looks bad, I want to replace that and move the whole thing over. it’s currently sitting directly over the sump pit which was a pain when I recently had to work down there. I think I could figure out how to extend the drain but I don’t even understand what the vent piping is for.

can I just cut all that off with a sawzall and connect pvc somehow? I’ve never worked with copper, pvc or pex.
