I’ve ridden dirt bikes and trail bikes but never a street bike. Today at 52 I took the first step toward ownership. First thing I noticed is how mentally intensive riding is. I’m sure after I have hours in the saddle most of it will become second nature. Also parking lot practice and low speed maneuvers really work the inner thighs. Tomorrow I take the test and will get a bike by the end of June. Dirt bikes were fun but there is so much more to riding on the street and I look forward to the challenge of becoming proficient and enjoying that smile that comes across your face after powering out of a corner.
