Being kind when nobody is watching

I think one of the most genuine forms of kindness is helping someone without expecting recognition or anything in return. It could be cleaning up a shared space, helping a neighbor, or quietly making things easier for someone having a rough day. Not every good deed needs to be announced or rewarded. Sometimes it's enough to know that you made a small difference in somebody else's day.

I didn't think I'd make it through last year, but here I am

Last year was probably the lowest point of my life. I stopped enjoying the things I used to love, pushed away people who cared about me, and struggled to get through each day. I started hurting myself just to deal with everything I was feeling, and there were times when I tried to end my life because I honestly couldn't see a future for myself anymore. I kept everything a secret until I finally broke down and told my what was happening. They stayed by my side and helped me get the support I needed. Recovery wasn't easy, and I had days when I felt like I was back at square one, but things slowly started to change. I'm still working through a lot, but I can enjoy my hobbies again, laugh with people I love, and actually look forward to tomorrow. I never thought I'd be able to say that last year, and I'm just glad I made it this far.
