The CTECs are mixed, I am a non-CS undergrad interested in this class. How is the intensity compared to other McCormick classes?

I got a summer research offer at UMN Twin Cities, but the stipend is limited and I have never lived near Minnesota.

How much would it cost approximately to live there, monthly? Most importantly, how much do subletters usually pay per month?
