Mark my words, she’s trying to block someone she knows is releasing VMAs week - my suspicion is activated
After delivering incomplete cut vinyls to all of her paying fans for the extortionate price of $40, our fave capitalist queen is releasing another 7” single, but peep the release date. Oh what is that, the VMAs week! “But she’s so artsy and alternative, she didn’t want those VMAs noms anyways!” her fans shout.
Yeah that’s why she had three puff piece articles written about the “snub”, one basically insinuating all her rivals used AI (none of them did obviously). And what an annoying ass thing for her team to do. The entitlement is crazy.
Now let’s look at this. I collect vinyl so this passed my desk. September 25th release date, how interesting. More often than not, artists are promoting something new when they attend the VMAs. Everyone in the industry knows when everyone else’s release dates are going to be and they plan around them. There’s a good chance someone is releasing a new song that friday and using the VMAs to promo it. Madonna? Tate (a friend she seemingly dropped)? Sabrina? Who knows, but I would bet money it’s happening.
Now couple that with Olivia releasing physicals of her dud christmas song rip off that week, and you have something interesting. Is she hoping to block or get in the way of someone that week? I’m gonna guess yes. At the very least, she’s hoping to bump those numbers up the same week everyone else is getting a bump, proving she does in fact care about being left off most major VMAs noms and about the charts no matter how much her fans insist otherwise.
Just watch this space. I have a gut feeling. Whenever a petty subtle shade opportunity comes up for her to f with another woman while trying to keep her hands clean and her faux feminist image intact, this girl takes it.
