Instagram filters for the female cast

I know the beauty standards and what’s considered beautiful is much different to the West — but can someone help me understand what the deal is with all the filtering on the girls’ instagrams?

After finishing the last episode, I looked that their instagrams and was just so perplexed at some of the filters. The women look strange and weird with very odd filters that change their faces in very extreme ways.

They all look 100% better on the show without the filters. Am I missing something here? Are these filters considered beautiful?

Skin ‘zaps’ / pin prick feeling waking me up in the middle of the night

Does anyone else have this? I’m 41 and it’s become very noticeable this menstrual cycle.

I only get it within the first 1-2 hours of sleeping. It wakes me up from my sleep and feels like little zaps on the top of my hand, arm, top of feet, fingers, legs, all parts of my body — not all at once, just one at a time.

It feels kinda itchy/ uncomfortable but feels like it’s my nerves, not skin. Massaging the area or putting lotion helps.

When I wake up from it, it can take me a while to get back to sleep, but then I’m okay the rest of the night and sleep through the night. Sometimes I get a bit anxious after being woken up by it.

But now, during the day over the past few days, I’m noticing it happens during the day — though not as strongly or obviously felt by my body compared to in the middle of the night.

Also noticed that it’s happening right before/ during ovulation. Thinking it also might be caused by a spike of estrogen and/or histamine. Or does this sound like a perimenopause symptom?

Anyone else experience similar at night? I’ll also add that I’m slightly vitamin b12 deficient and at the cusp of vitamin D deficiency.

Rejection emails

I’m new to Mercor. Applied to 6 jobs last week and received 4 rejection emails this week. Few questions —

- Is it normal to receive rejections so soon after applying?

- Do you receive rejection emails for each job you don’t get or do some just never get back to you?

- They say the rejections don’t affect future jobs — is this true?

- Seems like a lot of rejections all at once so wondering if I could improve on my applications or if the market is just super saturated. Any ideas? I applied for generalist and education jobs

Thanks!
