How should Prince of Persia distinguish itself from Assassin's Creed?

I feel like PoP underwent a bit of an identity crisis after the conclusion of the Sands Trilogy, especially once AC1 hit store shelves. Immediately following its meteoric rise to popularity, Ubisoft made it clear that there could only be one swashbuckling parkour franchise, and well, we all know what happened next.

PoP has been resurrected in recent years, but Ubisoft has shown no signs of slowing down on AC. This has got me thinking - how could the two franchises coexist in the modern day? It's no secret that PoP laid the groundwork for AC, but how could the games remain distinct experiences?

If you ask me, I think PoP can distinguish itself by leaning into fantastical themes, like many of the games have done by giving time powers and other magical abilities to heroes and villains alike. AC could also distinguish itself by returning to a focus on stealth, but we all know there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of that happening.

What are your thoughts?
