consumer driver PPO vs. low deductible PPO

Can someone help me with my math: Premium for CDPPO is $703, for LD is $892. Annual deductible CD $1700 vs. LD $300. OOPM is the same $5000 for both. Since I am about to have surgery and I will for sure reach the OOPM, why do I care about the deductible and other details? Shouldn't I just look at the premium which is lower for the Consumer Driven plan? thanks.

completely difference experience at SFO

Transit at SFO. Arrival from BCN delayed by 15 minutes. Touch down 7:40 PM. We were first out. Short line at immigration and through by 8:05 PM. Two minute wait to pick up bags. Out of Customs and transfer bags 8:10 PM. Took Air Tran and arrives at T 2 for E gates. The only snag happened when the door refused to open when we got to destination: the airport helper who was transporting a passenger in a wheelchair pried it open. I guess he has seen it before. 15 minutes through security. A quick walk to gate and boarded the connecting flight 8: 32 PM. On time departure 9: 00 PM. It is about time I learn my lesson and never do this short connection ever again, but it goes to show you if all humans and machines do what they are supposed to do, it can be done. When all this was happening, I kept getting text messages from UA that they knew it was tight and the connecting flight has been notified to wait for us "for a few more minutes" if necessary.

Kamakaze taxi driver tacked on a 6 Euro surcharge

We were all set to walk the Camino but then I busted a herniated disc, so we just turned into regular tourists. We had been using Freenow in Madrid, Valencia, and Granada, and we just paid the meter rate, and everything was reasonable. As soon as we got to Seville and got picked up at the bus station, the driver gave us both a thrill ride and a "surcharge" we didn't ask for. I didn't know there is a button on the meter where the driver can enter a surcharge. I actually saw the driver pressing the button, paused and thought about how much more he can scam out of two stupid old Americans, and kept pressing until he got to 6. A 12 Euro ride turned into 18.

I have done a lot of research and it seems like there are a million ways to buy combo tickets to Monteserrat, but can't find a way to buy just the return tickets on FGC to the base of Montserrat from Barcelona, without the cable car or rack train. Is this something I can just pick up on the day of visit from the metro station? Or is there a place to buy this on line before hand? Thanks.
