Sprinter suspension upgrade worth it?

Hello sprinter know-it-alls. I have a 2020 Sprinter 2500 4x4 144’,   Ko3 275s,  and have been researching suspension upgrades and have some questions relevant to the cost and pros/cons. Long story short, it seems like suspension upgrades are really geared toward compensating for heavy builds:

  1. I am looking into the Owl vans / Arrow suspension Trail 2500 as an upgrade for offloading capacity and reliability. I am currently stock and running a light build. I would estimate total added weight  between 300-500ish pounds. That being said, when sitting there with that load, there is about 4-5 inches of space between back axle and bump stop. Given that the load seems to NOT be compromising the spring window, I’m wondering if that kit will really make a noticeable difference in day to day driving and offroad performance. Seems like maybe not?
  2. Will the added struts make a meaningful difference over stock given above, especially offroading? The ride was extraordinarily rough when taking it out last weekend. Im hoping that the struts may soften / dampen things up a bit, but maybe the difference may not be that perceptible given how light my load is. What are your thoughts?

I think the main thing im looking for and greater tolerances around struts , springs, and Baja brackets, so things are less likely to break. Yes, I know a sprinter isn’t a jeep , but the stock components seem like they may be prone to failure for any offroading.  Looking for some performance improvement and a lot more reliability.

Thanks

Simple question: I have wax on the underside of a board from stacking them in my van. Do you think this has any meaningful impact on drag while paddling ? Guessing no.
