The Rudy Fallen Angel (Devil/Lucifer) Theory | Rudy Knight

The Rudy Fallen Angel (Devil/Lucifer) Theory | Rudy Knight

"Rudy can't be the Knight because he's nice and—" NO HE'S LITERALLY THE DEVIL.

Just look at Rudy's text box sprite. He has a goatee, a pencil mustache, a face shape, a hairstyle, eyebrows, a grin, eyes, and laughter — all just like the devil, and his antlers are... Christian crosses instead of horns? Well, this is very very interesting.

The Roaring Knight has these antlers with crosses too, but they're curved. It's like his antlers are turning into goat horns. Huh, goats. The symbol for Satan is a goat. If Rudy is the Knight, then his deformed antlers symbolize the fall. The fall of Lucifer. Rudy turns into a fallen angel in the Dark World, even though he's still innocent in the Light World. Or his motivation partially justifies him.

We also know that Dreemurr are goats. And who is their family's main friend? This is Rudy. Tenna's flashback, Fireshock spell and wedding photo point to it, Asgore's best friend is Rudy, Toriel communicates with Rudy, but doesn't like Carol and so on. He is the most goat-like reindeer among the Holiday family. Rudy even melted Carol's cold heart.

Let's go back to Lucifer. In Latin, Lucifer translates to "light-bringer" or "morning star". Light-bringer can refer Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on which Rudy is based. Rudolph's red nose glows/shines in the cold (Carol's and Noelle's symbol) and darkness (the Dark World) on Christmas Eve. The Knight can glow too. The Soul can shine too, using it against the Knight. If Rudy is the Knight, then it's ironic.

The hospital wallpaper has a sea (depths(darkness)), seahorses (dark horses-a chess horse-the Knight), starfishes (the Knight's bullets). btw stars glow and shine too.

Okay, there's also the devil's face on his sweater, a connection with Jevil, Friend and Gaster, plus the "Don't Forget" and "Raise Up Your Bat" lyrics and more. Just check the image or add something else in the comments.

And here is the most important question: Are these strong arguments for/a confirmation of the Rudy Knight theory? NO. Just a lot of interesting details before the release of Chapter 5. Some of them may be true if Rudy Knight turns out to be true. The rest will just be speculation.

Thanks to u/4Fourside for the idea of this theory! Before his comment, I was thinking about Rudy's appearance too, but the only thing that came to my mind was that he looked like Uncle Aaron from Spider-Man. btw, he's a very nice person in the Deltarune fandom.

In Your Opinion, HOW Will The Roaring Knight's True Identity Be Revealed? (Chapter 5/6/7?)

Write down who your candidate is (who is the Knight in your opinion) and how you see his identity revealed in chapter 5/6/7 (in detail, please).

As Rudy Knighter, I've been thinking a lot about how The Fun Gang and Noelle will find out that he's the Knight (if he's the Knight). And that's a very interesting thought, actually. For example, Noelle and Susie decide to cure Rudy's illness in the Dark World and see who he really is... That would be ABSOLUTE CINEMA. But there are a lot of scenarios, so I'm interested to know how you see it :^.

What do you think The Roaring Knight wanted to do in EACH Chapter? (1+2+3+4)

Everybody asks WHO the Knight is, but nobody asks WHAT they were doing.

I think if we try to analyze the motivation of the knight and their actions in each chapter, we'll get an idea not only of who they are, but also of many details of the knight's conspiracy in general.

I'm asking you to write not about the Knight's final motivation (like finding Dess/causing The Roaring), but about his actions in each individual chapter.

Any number of chapters and any the Roaring Knight candidates are welcome for your theories.

For Example: The knight is Rudy and he opened the Fountain in chapter 2 to make Noelle stronger. (UPD: don't take this example too literally, plz)

In Fact, This Evidence Is Strongly AGAINST Dess Knight

I think this evidence FOR Dess Knight is, actually, one of the strongest evidence AGAINST it.

If you backtrack to the beginning of this room you'll get this text: "It seems the way is blocked. You put out your hand... And, just out of view, just perfectly out of view, another hand pressed against yours and pushed you back". And then it plays the sound of Dess's guitar at 0% volume. And there was also the knight in the previous room who was looking for something or someone.

Well... yeah, it was Dess. Fine, maybe there is a tiny chance it was not Dess, but don't forget Occam's Razor. Dess Knigthers put two and two togehter and this is became their extremely strong evidence that Dess is The Roaring Knight! They're right, aren't they? Right..?

But we also know that our little fountain opener loves to hide in closets (the first closet is in the librarby, and the second one is in the church). We can check the church closet after sealing the dark fountain, but Kris won't let us to open it because they don't want us to bust the knight. The knight first summoned a titan to escape, left the dark world, and then... decided to hide in the closet?!? Wait, but why? Let's discuss it after the main analysis. Meanwhile, The Lancer Fun Club defeats the titan, we see the text (if backtrack) and close the fountain. And if Dess was really there, then SHE CANT BE IN THE CLOSET!!! She is not The Roaring Knight. It also explains why the knight was looking (it's literally the sprite's name) for something/someone in that room, they were looking for Dess!

Maybe she had time to hide in the closet after the fountain closed? But that's impossible because of the scene with Noelle and Nerdly after Kris and Susie close the dark fountain in chapter 2. If Dess Knight is true, then there is no explanation for it, except for theories that it wasn't Dess or the knight isn't hiding in the closet. If you have any, write it in the comments.

Why the knight decided to hide in the closet in chapter 4 instead of going to the shelter/other safe place like they already did? Probably because Susie is the wise fool (character archetype) and the aura farmer really has some weakness in the Light World that we don't see in chapter 3... damn it, Toby! So we don't have a clear answer to this strange behaviour. I can assume that if Rudy is the knight, then this may be due to his fatigue after visiting the church. But that's just my guess.

UPD: There is one more detail. Susie tells the Knight that The Fun Gang will past them, close the Fountain and then beat their fountain making ass in the Light World. In response, the Roaring Knight summons a titan to escape. To leave the Dark World and hide in the Light World. It makes no sense if the knight summoned a titan and stayed in the Dark World. (UPD3:This part may be incorrect)

UPD2: UPD3: There was some incorrect information here, my apologies.

UPD3: Just a part of my good comment that succinctly explains my point: "The text about her pushing us back after backtracking in the last room doesn't correspond to the location of the knight, who is already hiding in the closet at this time. The knight summoned a titan to escape, so after defeating the titan, they won't be in the same place. My point is that Dess and the knight have different roles in Deltarune. They're both important, but in different ways."
