Hey all. Getting lino installed next week and in the middle of a rewire atm. Electrician suggested sticking down some 6mm plywood before getting the new floors in. The current chipboard subfloor is quite creaky in places.

Is another layer of plywood over really required? If so, what type do we need?

Or will the lino go down fine over what we have? Anything we can do to prevent the creaking? TIA
