i keep having high purge count/ purge max time exceeded. well it happened twice this month after they had cooling tower fan problem. this is the only centravac I've seen and possibly the only one this vintage that is still running in my area.

I've talk to a more senior tech and he think i have non condensable issue.

what do i do and where do i start? I've leak check around the high side and no leak that o detected.

it does have oil leak from the oil filter area. can that be a factor for non condensable? I'll tighten it when I'm back on site.

hi all, I got an Arctic chiller that have high inverter temp alarm issue from time to time that I couldn't solve. it's 125 ton unit running in hand mode with set point of 41F

i notice it would have this issue when speed is low. from what i see the inverter cavity is cooled by constant flow of liquid into an orifice. I've talk to other tech in my company and he mention i should lower the sub cooling down to 8F from 12F.

any one have run into similar issue in the past and what could i do to remedy it?

what does the upgrade entail? any down side?
