ED to EMS

Hi everyone!
I became an EMT-B almost a year ago, and I’ve been working in the ED ever since. After getting some experience I chose to volunteer at my local 911 station. Does anyone have any tips/advice? I haven’t been in an ambulance since my clinical rotations a year ago. Thanks :)

First growth season tips

I’m three weeks into my first reverse and then I’m going into my first growth season (20 weeks as of rn) with a coach.

What are some random things I should do to make the most of it? Thanks!

Also: any tips w cravings and food noise during the reverse?

NPC stage shots

Hi everyone!
I competed in my first show about a week ago.

When does NPC news online typically post the photos online?

They’re not there yet and I don’t really want to spend $200+ on photos that are going to be posted for free online. Thanks :)

switching divisions recommendations

Hey everyone! Over the weekend I competed in my first show (fit model). I won true novice and juniors (I’m 20), and got second in open!

I had to switch coaches halfway thru prep bc my old coach wasn’t working for me, so prep was lowkey rough, but I’m honestly surprised and so happy with the results.

My goal right now is to go pro. My coach mentioned growing for bikini, which I know is going to take time.

Has anyone else made the decision to switch divisions? I love the look of bikini but I’m honestly scared I won’t be able to go pro in it

Debating on changing coaches

Hi all. I want to hear everyone’s opinions on what makes a “good” coach. I’m about to compete in my first show, and I definitely would not have been able to do it without my current coach, but I feel like I’m not getting everything a coach can/should offer.

Ex: We never went over how I should train, I just sent her my training plan and she said to keep doing that. I also never get specific feedback on anything, it’s always “you look great.”

My meal plan wasn’t adjusted more than once either, which I’m not worried about, but now that my show is less than 3 weeks away I feel like I should be much leaner than I currently am.

I was also told to cut caffeine/pre workout during my off season :(

Anyways I just want to hear thoughts, I’m thinking of switching to a different coach after this show, but of course I’m hesitant.

Let me know your opinions pls. Thanks!

Also, where have you all found coaches you like?

Show day makeup

Hey all,

I decided for my first show I’m going to do my own makeup to save some money. Does anyone have any tips for show day makeup?

Also, for eyeshadow: should I match my suit color (navy) or go with something more neutral? I can’t decide what to do.

Thanks!

First Show Classes Advice

Hi everyone! I’m registering for my first show and looking for recommendations on what classes to compete in. I’m doing fit model. My coach said to do true novice, juniors (bc my age), and open if I have the money for three. I didn’t realize it would be THIS expensive and I’m thinking of doing only two classes.

Should I do true novice and open, or true novice and juniors?

Thanks!

Under 5 Weeks Out!

Under 5 weeks out from my first show! I’m competing in fit model. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have no idea what my stage weight is going to be or how much more food will be dropped, any insights on the last few weeks of prep would be greatly appreciated!

I also know I have to work on posing, it’s getting there though haha!

Hi all! My first show is in 5 weeks, I’m completing in fit model. What are some unhinged (almost tmi) tips that have helped you? I have no idea what to expect. Thanks!

Hi all,

I’m a first time NPC competitor, I’m 6 weeks out. I originally was going to compete in fit model, but my coach said I should do bikini a few weeks ago. I feel like I won’t do as good in bikini for my first competition and have a lot of room to grow. I’m just looking for advice and if I should ask my coach about switching divisions. Thanks!
